The symposium addresses the question of whether and how humanity can make a positive contribution to sustainable management of the earth through food production, landscape architecture, ecology and the application of knowledge and technology. The focus is on a relational interpretation of the concept of 'landscape'. Arnold van der Valk will give a lecture on the impact the food transition has and will have on the landscape in and around Amsterdam.

In this ANFP meeting, we build upon Gibson-Graham's re-framing of economic practices to explore different ways to value food – based on social networks and care, rather than a commodity to be bought and sold. How can we transform food systems, to be more sustainable, through changing the relations in which we know and value food?

It is therefore appropriate to skip the Zoom PowerPoints for this meeting and, instead, explore our food systems with ALL our senses.
